Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. ANZ899-171945- 441 AM EDT Thu Jul 17 2025 .SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...The southern waters will remain along the western extent of a Bermuda high pressure area today into Sat before the high weakens and shifts southward. A cold front will approach the NW waters later today, and move E and SE over the northern waters tonight into Fri. The front will reach the central waters during Fri, stall and weaken over the central waters Fri night into Sat night, and then return N as a warm front late Sat night into Sun. High pressure will cross the waters N of the stalled front Fri night into Sat night.
