Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. AMZ001-291930- Synopsis for Caribbean Sea, and Tropical N Atlantic from 07N to 19N W of 55W 321 AM EDT Fri Aug 29 2025 .SYNOPSIS...The Atlantic ridge combined with the Colombian low will maintain fresh to strong easterly trade winds, with moderate to rough seas across much of the central Caribbean through early next week. The coverage of these winds is forecast to shrink by Sat. Unsettled weather conditions will persist in the NW Caribbean today as a tropical wave moves away. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will also affect the SE Caribbean as a tropical wave approaches the Lesser Antilles.
