Offshore Waters Forecast for the Gulf of America

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...A frontal trough extends from the Florida Keys to the
west-central Gulf and this boundary is likely to persist over the
east-central Gulf through Sat. This system will continue to
generate scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms,
mainly across the eastern part of the basin. Elsewhere, a weak
pressure gradient in place will maintain gentle to moderate winds
with slight to locally moderate seas through the forecast period.
A cold front is forecast to enter the northern Gulf waters on Sun,
becoming stationary early next week. A slight increase in winds
and seas is expected behind the boundary.
