National Hydrologic Discussion - EXPERIMENTAL
NWS National Water Center - Tuscaloosa AL
1015 AM CDT MON SEP 1 2025

.Synopsis...
Isolated flash flooding possible in South Central Texas... Small stream and
minor river flooding continues in Alaska... Localized flash and urban
flooding remains possible in the Southwest...

.South Central Texas...
Isolated flash flooding is possible across portions of south central TX
through this evening, where 1 - 2" of rainfall is forecast. Antecedent dry
conditions and low QPF amounts will limit the overall flood threat, though
periods of higher rainfall rates could still result in isolated flooding
impacts.

.Alaska...
Small stream and minor river flooding will continue across portions of the
Interior and Brooks Range due to glacial melt and runoff from recent
rainfall. While these rivers have crested, additional rainfall through
early day 2 (Tue) may slow recessions or renew rises.

.Southwest...
Daily monsoonal showers will continue this week across the region, with
localized flash and urban flooding possible. While widespread flooding is
not expected, rapid rises on small streams in steep terrain and shallow
soils, as well as in arroyos, slot canyons, and normally dry washes, remain
possible where heavy rainfall occurs. Debris flows are also possible near
recently burned areas.
