126 AGUS74 KWCO 031250 HMDNWC National Hydrologic Discussion - EXPERIMENTAL NWS National Water Center - Tuscaloosa AL 700 AM CST MON NOV 3 2025 UPDATE... The morning issuance maintains the Mariana Islands selection, with no proposed changes. The Pacific Northwest and Northern California are expected to experience more localized/nuisance flooding, rather than widespread flooding concerns, so no flood threat category is needed at this time. //JAW Previous Discussion as follows: Flooding impacts possible for American Samoa and the Mariana Islands... Isolated flooding impacts possible for the Pacific Northwest and Northern California... .American Samoa... Flash flooding and landslides are possible through today as a nearby trough brings periods of showers and thunderstorms to the islands. .Mariana Islands... A tropical disturbance is expected to bring heavy rainfall to the islands starting Sunday night through at least Thursday night. Rainfall amounts of 3 - 8" are expected to produce minor flooding across the islands, with flash flooding possible in Guam. .Pacific Northwest and Northern California... Moderate rainfall associated with a surge of moisture in the region will begin falling across portions of western WA and northwestern OR starting on Monday (day 2). There are currently no widespread flooding concerns for this area anticipated at this time. However, rainfall is expected to increase and spread southward becoming more organized across northern CA and southwest OR by Tuesday (day 3). This activity may elicit isolated urban and small stream flooding in northern CA and southwest OR through mid-to-late week. Topsoils are also wet across the region (NASA SPoRT) and streamflows are running above normal (USGS) in response to recent rainfall, increasing confidence for isolated flooding impacts.
