National Hydrologic Discussion - EXPERIMENTAL
NWS National Water Center - Tuscaloosa AL
1015 AM CDT SAT SEP 6 2025

.Synopsis...
Isolated flash flooding continues to be possible across the Southwest...
Elevated flows and isolated river flooding in Alaska... Heavy rainfall
possible in American Samoa... Flooding possible in South Texas and
Florida...

.Southwest...
Isolated flash flooding is possible through today as monsoonal moisture
continues to generate periods of moderate to heavy rainfall. While
widespread flooding is not expected, rapid rises on small streams in steep
terrain, as well as in arroyos, slot canyons, and normally dry washes,
remain possible where heavy rainfall occurs. Debris flows are also possible
near recently burned areas.

.Alaska...
Small stream and river flooding will continue across the western Brooks
Range and surrounding areas through this morning. Water levels will
gradually improve but remain elevated, with additional rainfall through
early next week likely to slow recessions.

American Samoa...
Heavy rainfall will bring the potential for flash flooding on day 2 (Sun).

.South Texas...
Tropical moisture may bring the potential for isolated flash, urban and
small stream flooding across portions of southern Texas this weekend.
Uncertainty still remains in rainfall totals and placement.

.Florida...
Daily rounds of rainfall may bring localized flash and urban flooding
through next week.
