216 AGUS74 KWCO 181242 HMDNWC National Hydrologic Discussion - EXPERIMENTAL NWS National Water Center - Tuscaloosa AL 700 AM CST TUE NOV 18 2025 UPDATE The limited flood impacts selection across American Samoa has been removed from the latest issuance of the Flood Hazard Outlook since the threat of flash flooding has ended. A limited flood impacts area was introduced across portions of southeastern CA, far-southern NV, and northwestern/central AZ given issuance of flood watches across this region, as well as an increase in rainfall amounts along the Mogollon Rim and northern AZ through Wednesday. The current limited flood impacts area across the Southern Plains and Ozarks was extended further southwest into the TX Hill Country given an increase in rainfall totals (areas of 3+"). //JDP Previous Discussion as follows ...Flash and urban flooding possible for California through this evening... ...Flood threat developing over the Southern Plains into the Ozarks late week... .California... Isolated heavy rainfall will be possible through this evening, which will bring a chance of isolated flooding to the region. The greatest threat of impacts will be in and around recently burned areas, where flash flooding and debris flow may occur if heavy rainfall moves over. Rainfall should start to move east of the region tonight, bringing drier conditions to the area. .Southern Plains into the Ozarks... Moderate to heavy rainfall late this week will bring the potential for flash and urban flooding to the region. Generally, this region is dry, which will mitigate much in the way of impacts late this week going into the weekend. A second round of rainfall is expected over the Red River Valley into central Texas by early next week, which may bring a greater potential for rises on small streams within the region. The main threat remains flash and urban flooding for both the initial and second event, with no changes to the FHO with this issuance. .American Samoa... Heavy rainfall will bring the potential for flash flooding to the island today. //GKendrick Additional National Water Center products are available at www.weather.gov/owp/operations $$
