.Synopsis...
Ongoing and recessional river flooding in the Upper Midwest... Potential
for isolated flash flood impacts in the Southern Appalachians... Coastal
Flooding along the Eastern Seaboard by the end of the week

.Upper Midwest...
Routing flows will continue to elevate river levels on the Minnesota and
James Rivers to moderate flood stage through the end of the week. Eastern
Iowa tributaries to the Mississippi River will also continue to rise as
flood waves progress downstream. Further east in southern Wisconsin and
northern Illinois, streams are recovering from the past week`s heavy
rainfall with rises to action and isolated minor flooding through the rest
of the week.

Southern Appalachians...
Higher than average moisture levels and slow moving storms may create
localized flash flooding through the end of day today, especially where
heavier storms develop over rugged and complex terrain. Current short-range
National Water Model guidance does not currently suggest widespread flood
impacts. A second round of rainfall by the end of Day 5 (Sun) has potential
for causing isolated flooding impacts in the same region.

.Eastern Seaboard...
Coastal flooding from surge and heavy seas caused by Hurricane Erin are
expected along the Eastern Seaboard from the Golden Isles northward to
Marthas Vineyard from midweek through the end of the week. Portions of
Chesapeake and Delaware Bay are expected to experience moderate to major
coastal flooding with potential for urban flooding.
