- Expect another chance for snow Monday. A Winter Weather
  Advisory has been issued for a few counties mainly along the
  Nebraska/Kansas/Missouri border.

- Temperatures will be mainly in the 20s and 30s for highs this
  week.

- Tuesday and Thursday morning temperatures will be particularly
  cold. Tuesday morning lows will be in the single digits above
  zero, while Thursday lows are currently forecast to be in the
  single digits below zero for most locations.

The forecast period starts out with northwest flow over the Great
Plains and the surface low that brought wintry weather to the area
will continue to lift to the northeast, into the Great Lakes. Winds
will gradually decrease as the low continues to move out of the
region. Some patchy blowing snow may still be possible early this
morning, which could result in some slick surfaces. Use caution if
heading out the door this morning.

Cold air settles into the region today and tomorrow. Expected highs
today will top out in the teens and 20s with lows in the single
digits and teens. Monday morning wind chill values will be in the
single digits above and below zero for most of the region. A few
areas along the Kansas/Nebraska border may be in the low teens.
Monday`s highs will be slightly warmer, reaching the 20s. Our next
chance for precipitation will begin Sunday night/Monday morning. A
mid level wave will cross the region just south of the
Nebraska/Kansas state line. Areas along and north of the Platte
River may receive a dusting to around an inch of snow. South of the
river, one to four inches of snow will be possible. The highest
accumulations right now are expected for areas along and south of a
line from Beatrice to Auburn. A Winter Weather Advisory has been
issued for a few counties in southeastern Nebraska for Monday. Snow
and cloud cover will clear out from west to east Monday evening.
Temperatures are expected to plummet, with lows falling into the
single digits above zero. Wind chill values will be in the single
digits below zero for most areas.

Weak ridging sets up on Tuesday, following the departure of the
shortwave trough. High temperatures will return to the 30s for most
on Tuesday and Wednesday and the 20s for lows Wednesday morning.

A cold front is expected to drop into the region from the north on
Wednesday. This will usher in considerably colder air by Thursday
morning. Additionally, clouds are expected to decrease, helping
temps drop. Expected lows will be in the single digits above zero
along the Kansas/Nebraska border, with single digits below zero for
areas along and north of Interstate 80. Wind chill values may reach
as low as -16 in some locations. Thursday, the front exits the
region, with the cold air remaining in place. Highs will be in the
teens in Iowa and along the Missouri River, with 20s in Nebraska.
Warmer weather will return on Friday, with temperatures returning to
the 30s.

MVFR conditions persist at the terminals this morning. Some
patchy blowing snow may be possible early this morning, as
yesterday`s storm system exits the region. Northwest winds will
gradually decrease to around 5-10kts, becoming light and
variable this evening, before turning to the southwest tonight.
Chances for snow return to the forecast overnight, with KOMA and
KLNK potentially being impacted with some lowered ceilings and
visibilities after sunset. Did not have enough confidence in how
low visibilities may become to include them in prevailing
conditions for now. Snow chances will continue through late
Monday afternoon.
