...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Nebraska...

  Ponca Creek At Verdel affecting Knox County.

.The heavy rain that fell on Thursday night is expected to push the
Ponca Creek above flood stage. Additional heavy rain is possible in
the basin on Friday night as well.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ponca Creek at Verdel.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Urban lowlands near Ponca Creek at Verdel
  and Lynch can flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 12.3 feet...or 1.2 feet
    below flood stage.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon to a crest of 14.5 feet tonight. It may then
    fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. With additional
    heavy rain possible tonight, subsequent crests may result.
  - Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
