...The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley NE has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Nebraska...

  Ponca Creek At Verdel affecting Knox County.

.Very heavy rainfall across parts of Hoyt and Boyd counties will
find its way downstream to the Verdel area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ponca Creek at Verdel.

* WHEN...From this morning to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Urban lowlands near Ponca Creek at Verdel
  and Lynch can flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.4 feet...or 3.1
    feet below flood stage.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    today to a crest over 15 feet later today. It will then fall
    below flood stage tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
