...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...Southeastern Fremont County in southwestern Iowa...
  West Central Page County in southwestern Iowa...

* WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of the East Nishnabotna River at Riverton along
  250th Street west of Riverton and other low-lying areas near and
  north of Riverton along the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 620 AM CDT, Recent heavy rain in the warned area has caused
    the East Nishnabotna River level to rise. Gauges indicate minor
    flooding is occurring, confirmed by local emergency management.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Shenandoah, Farragut and Riverton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
