.DISCUSSION...
Despite some limited curing of agriculturally-based fuels, our
late summer wet pattern has and will continue to keep fire danger
concerns low heading through the weekend. Minimum humidity values
this afternoon in the 50-65% range will actually be the lowest
of the next 7 days, with minimum values closer to 75-85% or higher
anticipated. Steady winds in the low-levels and decent mixing
heights of 3000-4500 ft AGL this afternoon will make for good to
very good smoke dispersal, before a wind shift moves into the area
late this evening, switching directions to be out of the
northwest by sunrise Saturday. Scattered shower and storm chances
area forecast through the area (30-50% chance), but coverage will
be rather limited with lighter amounts compared to some of the
activity we`ve had over past week.
