.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather conditions are not expected over the next several
days. The weather pattern remains cool (highs: 70s to low 80s)
today and Monday, with a slight warm up into the mid-80s on
Tuesday. There will be periodic, daily chances for showers and
isolated thunderstorms across at least a portion of the region
each day through Wednesday.
For today, expect highs to reach the mid-70s to low 80s. Minimum
relative humidity values will remain above 50% through the day.
There will be a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms for
areas along and west of a line from Nebraska City to Wayne this
morning and afternoon. An isolated shower or storm is not out of
the question for western Iowa this afternoon and evening, although
better chances remain to the west. Southerly to southwesterly
winds will be in place around 5-10mph.
Monday brings slightly warmer temperatures with highs ranging from
the upper 70s to mid-80s. Minimum RH values will once again be
higher than 50% through the day with south or southeast winds
around 5-15mph. Shower/thunderstorm activity will be possible
Sunday night through Monday morning across eastern Nebraska and
western Iowa.
