.DISCUSSION...

Fire danger will remain limited to nil over the next few days,
with a downright muggy/foggy morning ongoing near the Missouri
River in western Iowa. The calm winds that have helped it form
will transition to southwesterly winds through the morning,
increasing in speed during the afternoon hours to around 10 mph,
gusting to 20 mph. Mostly sunny conditions will help warm the
ground, and we`ve given a bit drier lean to the forecast with the
idea that we might dry and warm out a bit more than models
indicate. Winds begin dipping this evening with showers and storms
forming overnight, moving into the burn site close to 3 AM with
multiple rounds of rain, winds, and lightning that could last
through much of Tuesday morning. Overall rainfall amounts of at
least 0.5" are expected.
