This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest
Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast
Nebraska and southeast Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight and Monday

There is a small risk (5-10% chance) of strong to severe
thunderstorms late tonight for areas west of US-81.

The highest chance for severe storms will arrive Monday afternoon
into the evening hours (15-40% chance), with the primary threats
being damaging winds, large hail, and a tornado or two.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday night through Sunday

Strong to severe storms may continue Monday night into early Tuesday
morning, and redevelop Tuesday afternoon and evening along and
south of Interstate 80. The primary threats continue to be
damaging winds and large hail, though a tornado or two cannot be
ruled out Tuesday.

Heavy rainfall and flash flooding are also possible (5-15%
chance) with showers and thunderstorms Monday night and
Tuesday.

Chances are increasing for oppressive heat moving into the
Central Plains late next week into next weekend as heat indices
reach 100 to 105 degrees, especially Friday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight, but may be
needed at times Monday and Tuesday.
