...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN MONONA...NORTHERN
POTTAWATTAMIE...HARRISON AND SHELBY COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM CDT...

At 653 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 2 miles southwest of
Moorhead to 2 miles northeast of Crescent. Movement was northeast at
50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

* Locations impacted include...
  Harlan, Missouri Valley, Logan, Avoca, Woodbine, Dunlap, Underwood,
  Neola, Walnut, Shelby, Crescent, Minden, Earling, Irwin, Persia,
  Defiance, Pisgah, Moorhead, Panama, and Hancock.

This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 17 and 48.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
southwestern and west central Iowa.
