- Low to medium rain chances continue each day through Thursday,
  with a secondary chance on Saturday.

- Temperatures will peak on Friday in the 90s, and decrease back
  into the 70s and 80s by the weekend.

.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight through Thursday Night)

Clouds remain on satellite, with some weak echoes on radar. Not
expecting any thunderstorm activity in the overnight hours, just
some light rainfall. Tomorrow should be a bit better, with lighter
POPs than today. However, storm motions remain on the low side. Not
everyone will see rain, but, there`s a localized flash flooding
chance with the showers and storms that do.

Another opportunity for rain chances presents itself Thursday, as
the first of two cold fronts come through. CAMs are suggesting that
a line of storms moves through middle Tennessee with this front.
Continuing on the trend as the previous forecaster, widespread
severe weather continues to look unfavorable with the cold front,
but given the linear nature and slight increase in winds aloft, I do
agree that some stronger storms could produce isolated wind gusts.
Majority of us will just see another rainy, thundering day.

Temperatures through Thursday will be on the increase, with highs
getting into the low to mid 80s.

.LONG TERM...
(Friday through next Wednesday)

A secondary cold front on Friday should cool us slightly, and bring
drier air. Unfortunately, we will have to be baked a bit by the
atmosphere first. Ahead of the cold front Friday, winds will turn
W/SW, and advect in some much warmer air. Temperatures as a result
look to be in the low to mid 90s. Once that front passes through
Friday afternoon, some post frontal showers and storms will work
their way through middle Tennessee on Saturday. The payoff though:
Highs in the 70s for the weekend, only increasing slightly into
the low 80s by the time the work week starts.

Issued at 600 AM CDT Wed Sep 3 2025

Patchy fog this morning causing MVFR to IFR visibilities across
portions of southern and eastern Middle TN will diminish between
13Z and 14Z. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected to
develop likely around 18Z with storms diminishing around 00Z.
Probabilities are still too low to include mention of even a
PROB30 in TAF so amendments may be needed as storms develop.
Otherwise, winds will generally be southerly to southwesterly at
around 10 knots or less.
