.UPDATE...
Issued at 649 PM CDT Sat Oct 11 2025

What an amazing fall afternoon today as we saw clear skies,
temperatures in the upper 70s, and dewpoints in the 40s. Calm
weather continues tonight with high pressure remaining overhead.
Expect some patchy fog, but really limited to around bodies of
water. With dewpoints as much as 10 degrees lower than last
night, expecting a lot less fog development than we saw this past
morning. Sunday brings another day of calm and pleasant weather
conditions.

.SHORT TERM...
(Rest of today through Sunday)
Issued at 649 PM CDT Sat Oct 11 2025

A high pressure system sits just to our northwest, on the KY/TN
border. Calm conditions can be expected through the weekend while
this high moves off and the following high situates itself in the
south. We saw some substantial patchy fog across the area this
morning, with many spots having visibilities under 1 mile. Patchy
fog will continue to be a hazard on the weekend, appearing after
midnight and lasting into the early morning. Plan for reduced
visibilities on your morning commutes. Temperatures through the
weekend will be closer to what we expect for this time of year:
chilly nights and days where you need a jacket in the morning and
evening but sweat in the afternoon.

&&

.LONG TERM...
(Sunday Night through next Saturday)
Issued at 649 PM CDT Sat Oct 11 2025

Into the work week, a high pressure system is forecasted to be the
dominant feature, leading to the increase in our temperatures. They
will level off in the low 80s for highs by mid-week, with morning
lows in the low to mid 50s. High pressure also means no
precipitation in the forecast for the period, so things will remain
dry. This pattern looks to extend into late October, with below-
normal rainfall and above-normal temperatures forecasted for middle
Tennessee by the CPC. Despite the dry environment, minimum RH is
forecasted to stay around 50% during the day, so we are not
concerned with fire weather at this time.
