.SHORT TERM...
(Rest of today through Sunday)
Issued at 1048 AM CDT Sat Aug 30 2025

Our pleasant weather continues through Sunday as surface high
pressure remains overhead. With sunny skies this afternoon, high
temperatures are forecasted to reach around 90 degrees for most of
the CWA, west of the Plateau. Our folks along the Plateau can
expect slightly cooler highs today, generally in the low to mid
80s. Tonight, clear skies will promote efficient cooling,
allowing for lows to drop into the 50s once again. As we go into
Sunday, just copy and paste today`s forecast to Sunday as our high
pressure hangs on for one more day.

.LONG TERM...
(Sunday Night through next Saturday)
Issued at 1048 AM CDT Sat Aug 30 2025

Not much change in thinking for next weeks forecast. Long wave
troughing looks to set up over the eastern half of the US Monday
through Thursday. There will be a few shortwaves that develop
along the trough before another trough digs south on Thursday.
This pattern will bring low to medium chances for showers each
afternoon and evening. With increased cloud cover, instability
will be limited keeping the thunderstorm threat low. That said, a
few storms can`t be ruled out after peak heating in the
afternoons. A more organized line of storms along a cold front
drop south towards Middle TN on Thursday. As of right now, this
line looks to weaken before making into TN, offering some
scattered showers. Rain totals Monday through Thursday will
generally range from 0.40-1.40". By Friday, a troughing pattern
sets back up heading into the weekend. This brings back our low
humidity with high temperatures in the 70s to low 80s.
