...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 11 AM
EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level
  expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.

* WHERE...Southern Nassau County.

* WHEN...From 9 AM to 11 AM EDT this morning.

* IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable
  locations near the waterfront and shoreline.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another round of minor flooding is possible
  with the daytime high tide cycle on Friday. Then more widespread
  and significant coastal flooding is possible with the high tides
  Sunday and Monday as a coastal storm impacts the area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flooded roadways.

* WHEN...From noon today to 3 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations
  near the waterfront and shoreline.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another round of minor flooding is possible
  with the daytime high tide cycle on Friday. Then more widespread
  and significant coastal flooding is possible with the high tides
  Sunday and Monday as a coastal storm impacts the area.
