...HIGH SURF, MINOR BEACH EROSION, AND DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS INTO
THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 6 to 8 ft along the Atlantic
  oceanfront.

* WHERE...Southwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Southern Queens
  and Southern Nassau Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Large breaking waves will result in beach flooding and
  erosion with only minor damage expected to dune structures.
  Life-threatening rip currents are likely for all people entering
  the surf zone. Stay out of the water.

Stay away from the surf zone to keep safe.
