...A GUST FRONT APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

  Central Long Island Sound...

At 649 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located along
a line extending from 26 nm northwest of Bridgeport to 9 nm northwest
of Captain Harbor to 12 nm northwest of Upper New York Harbor, moving
east at 35 knots.

The gust front will be near...
  Captain Harbor around 700 PM EDT.
  Eastchester Bay, Mamaroneck Harbor, and Stamford Harbor around 705
  PM EDT.
  Execution Rocks and Long Neck Point around 710 PM EDT.
  Hempstead Harbor, Little Neck Bay, Manhasset Bay, and Norwalk
  Islands around 715 PM EDT.
  Oyster Bay and Saddle Rock around 720 PM EDT.
  Huntington Bay, Oyster Bay Harbor, Penfield Reef, and Bridgeport
  around 725 PM EDT.
  Cold Spring Harbor around 730 PM EDT.
  Mouth of the Housatonic River around 735 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
