  Eastern Long Island Sound...
  Peconic and Gardiners Bays...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 525 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Charlestown Breachway to near Falkner Island,
  moving east at 40 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Stonington, Fishers Island, Fishers Island Sound, Orient Point,
  Plum Island, The Race, Madison Reef, Six Mile Reef, Long Sand
  Shoal, and Mouth of the Connecticut River around 530 PM EDT.
  Western Block Island Sound around 535 PM EDT.
  Dering Harbor around 540 PM EDT.
  Gardiners Bay, Gardiners Island, and Shelter Island around 545 PM
  EDT.
  Montauk Point around 550 PM EDT.
  Napeague Bay around 555 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, small hail, high waves, lightning,
and heavy rain are expected with these storms. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
