.DISCUSSION...
Tonight and Sunday: As the low continues to move East, it will
drag the instability and thunderstorm activity along with it. It
leads to a generally calm Sunday across the region with high
temperatures(upper 70s-low 80s) near the normals for this time
of year. The Basin can expect some haze in the early morning
hours from region wildfires. Ensembles continue to show winds
increase during the afternoon with gusts near 20 mph expected.
Mild overnight temperatures in the 50s expected.

Monday through Friday: A passing trough and associated cold
front will bring more showers and thunderstorms Monday.
Ensembles continue to highlight along the Canadian border, extreme
Eastern Washington and the Idaho Panhandle for showers and
thunderstorms. Best timing for thunderstorms will be during the
afternoon hours. It will usher in a cooling trend across the
region for several days. Temperatures expected to be slightly
below average for most locations. The regions will have
generally dry conditions on Tuesday and Wednesday. Another
trough is expected on Thursday. It will bring a round of
mountain showers as it is more west to east passage. /KD
