.DISCUSSION...

Central WA:
- Strong north winds developing late this afternoon, especially
  down the Okanogan Valley with gusts of 50 to 60 mph.
- Dry conditions with strong winds down the Okanogan Valley will
  result in extreme fire weather conditions late Monday afternoon.

Eastern WA:
- Strong cold front from the north on Monday will bring strong
  shifting north winds and critical fire weather conditions in the
  afternoon and evening.

North ID:
- Strong cold front from the north late Monday will bring strong
  shifting north winds Monday night into Tuesday.
- Scatter thunderstorms Monday evening will bring lightning and
  gusty and erratic winds.
- There is a 40-80% chance for wetting rains across far north
  Idaho Monday evening into Monday night.

A strong cold front will drop into the region out of British
Columbia this evening. Breezy westerly pre-frontal winds will
increase into the early afternoon. Winds will see a sharp shift
from the north with cold front passage. North winds will occur
down the Okanogan Valley by mid afternoon and will be strong with
gusts of 50-60 mph expected. Northeast Washington and the Idaho
Panhandle will see a northerly wind shift in the evening with
higher gusts. Critical fire weather conditions today, and a
potential for extreme fire weather conditions down the Okanogan
Valley. There will also be a chance of showers and thunderstorms
over Northeast Washington into the Idaho Panhandle late Monday
into Tuesday.
