.DISCUSSION...

A deep low pressure system churning off the WA Coast through Monday
will keep the region under southerly flow aloft with passing mid and
clouds. Weak impulses coming through will bring a 10-20% chance
for showers or thunderstorms Sunday into Monday with low probabilities
for wetting rains. Winds at the fire will be light shifting from
upslope during the day to down drainage at night. Small changes in
temps and RH Friday into Saturday then a subtle warming trend Sunday
into Monday. A strong ridge of high pressure will build in Tuesday
through Thursday with very warm temperatures and dry conditions. Highs will
be in the 80s with afternoon humidity around 25%. Expect poor relative humidity
recoveries within the thermal belts on the midslopes.

Extended outlook for Sep 5-8th: There is a 60% chance for the ridge
to begin breaking down around the 5-6th of September. This will lead to
increasing risk for westerly winds across the fire area along with a
deepening marine layer and higher humidity values into the Martin Fire
with time. The breakdown will also bring increasing chances for showers
and thunderstorms but details remain far from certain at this time.
