...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TUESDAY TO 10 AM PST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 8 and
  18 inches above 3000 feet and 2 to 7 inches below 3000 feet. Winds
  gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Fernwood, St. Maries, Dobson Pass, Pinehurst, Kellogg,
  Osburn, Lookout Pass, Fourth Of July Pass, Mullan, and Wallace.

* WHEN...From 11 AM Tuesday to 10 AM PST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Winter driving conditions
  will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
  Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. For the latest road
information in Idaho, call 5 1 1.

Persons should delay travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 3500 feet. Total snow
  accumulations up to 12 inches. Snow accumulations for Peola and
  Anatone 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Cloverland Road, Mountain Road, Peola, and Anatone.

* WHEN...From 10 AM Tuesday to 7 AM PST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Winter driving conditions
  will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and
  4 feet. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Holden Village, Stevens Pass, and Stehekin.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Tuesday to 4 PM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Winter driving conditions
  will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds
  could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates approaching one inch per hour
  will be possible Tuesday afternoon and evening. Snowfall at
  Stehekin will range from 6 to 12 inches through Thursday afternoon.
