...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Oklahoma, including the following
  county, Oklahoma.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 747 PM CDT, Although the heavy rain has ended over
    Oklahoma County, minor flooding of creeks, low-lying and poor
    drainage areas is expected in the advisory area from the
    earlier storms where between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain has
    fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Oklahoma City, southwestern Edmond, Midwest City, Del City,
    The Village, Nichols Hills, Valley Brook, Tinker Air Force
    Base, Forest Park, Lake Aluma, Smith Village and The Capitol.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
