...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern Texas, including the following
  counties, Baylor, Foard and Knox.

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
  remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
  excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are
  inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1112 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the warned area. Between 6 and 8 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Brazos River, Dutchman Creek, Millers Creek, South Wichita
    River, Honey Creek, Little Good Creek, Fish Creek, Blue Hole
    Creek, Beaver Creek, Good Creek, Deep Creek, Aytes Branch,
    Muhle Creek, North Wichita River, West Coffee Creek, China
    Creek, Gray Back Creek, Deadman Creek, Lake Creek, Dry Creek,
    North Fork Little Wichita River, Gyp Creek, Salt Flat Creek,
    Middle Beaver Creek, Wild Horse Creek, Bluff Creek, Louse
    Run, South Beaver Creek, Little Rock Creek, Buffalo Creek,
    Crooked Creek, Dutch Creek, Red Creek, Little Moonshine
    Creek, Smelter Creek, Turkey Creek, Hackberry Creek, Colwell
    Creek, Cache Creek, Cabin Creek, Middle Fork Wichita River,
    Plants Creek, Wagon Creek, Godwin Creek, Talking John Creek,
    Marys Creek, Mustang Creek, Brushy Creek, Mexican Creek, Rock
    Creek, Gray Creek, Union Creek, Rose Hollow Creek, Croton
    Creek and Wichita River.
    Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.8 inches are possible
    in the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Seymour, Munday, Knox City, Benjamin, Goree, Vera, Gilliland,
    Rhineland, Red Springs, Truscott, Bomarton and Lake Kemp.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
