.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire danger expands today from western Oklahoma and western
north Texas and into portions of central and southeastern Oklahoma.
Near record heat is expected today with minimum relative humidity of
25 to 35 percent across the entire area. Modestly breezy SSW winds
with maximum gusts to 35 mph are possible across parts of western
Oklahoma. With ERC`s above the 90th percentile due to ongoing drought,
elevated fire danger is expected due to the volatile state of fuels.
A Fire Danger Statement has been issued for western, central, and
southeastern Oklahoma and western north Texas.
