.DISCUSSION...
The heat will again be the primary issue today. High temperatures
and heat index values will be slightly lower than yesterday, but
still hot. The cold front shifted to the south of the fireground
overnight bringing generally northeast surface winds. This front
will likely remain to the south of Anadarko today keeping the winds
generally from the northeast... however there is some potential for
the front to lift north today, which would shift winds back to
south or southwesterly should it move back north. This potential wind
shift is unlikely, but there is enough potential that the winds at
the Apache mesonet site should be monitored and a wind shift observed
there could give some indication that the front might move back toward
Anadarko.

There will be at least a slight chance of thunderstorm develop late
this afternoon and early this evening. Any storms that develop in the
area will be capable of lightning and chaotic shifts in wind direction.
Any strong storms that develop will be capable of producing very strong
winds. Wind shifts may also affect the fireground from outflow winds
emerging from storms that develop nearby even if the storm itself is
not in the immediate area.
