.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 132 PM CDT Fri Aug 22 2025

Sfc high pressure is centered over northern IL today and will
progress eastward this weekend. An extensive cu field has developed
again today and has kept temperatures down, so have lowered highs to
the low 80s for this afternoon. Temperatures are expected to be
warmer tomorrow, highs in the mid to upper 80s, ahead of our next
cold front that is set to come through tomorrow night into Sunday.
This will bring fall like temperatures to the area with highs below
normal in the upper 70s to lower 80s and overnight lows in the 50s.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 420 PM CDT Fri Aug 22 2025

Inherited forecast and time/height cross sections suggest
diurnal bases will scatter overnight, with the potential for
patchy fog to restrict vsbys, esp at prone terminals. Tmrw will
be similar to today in a high pressure dominated forecast, with
the best chance of temporary bases/CIGS from KMVN-KEVV-KOWB
during the planning phase hours of the forecast.
