Issued at 143 AM CDT Fri Aug 29 2025 Models show surface high pressure centered over the southern Great Lakes region today through Sunday, shifting over the northeast U.S. Monday. Circulation around the high will result in persistent light northeast flow across the middle Mississippi and lower Ohio valleys through the long holiday weekend. This will help keep our region dry and our temperatures below normal with continued low humidity levels. High temperatures today through Monday will be 2 to 6 degrees below normal, with lows 5 to 8 degrees below normal. By Monday night into Tuesday night, models show a couple of weak upper level disturbances bringing scattered showers and a few storms. Models are in good agreement bringing a much deeper upper level trof and a surface cold front across our area late Wednesday into Wednesday night. Lacking moisture will prevent any significant rain chances, but isolated to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday afternoon/night and possibly even into Thursday. Behind the cold front, dry and even cooler conditions will filter into our region. Temperatures Monday through Wednesday will be 4 to 9 degrees below normal, then Thursday highs will potentially be 10 to 15 degrees below normal. && .AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SATURDAY/...
