.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1238 PM CDT Fri Aug 29 2025

Surface high pressure holding over the Great Lakes keeps a
cool/dry n-nely streamwise trajectory thru the holiday weekend.
That said, the models do pick up on H5 height falls that occur
in conjunction with the development of an almost opened up wave
of low pressure aloft, embedded within the mean upper trof that
pounds its way further thru the South, even to the Gulf coastal
region. Small pops reappear by Tuesday for this pattern
metamorphosis, continuing thru the mid week.

After the parent H5 trof makes passage, a refreshingly
cooler/drier air mass is drawn down here from the nwlys
aloft...resulting in 70s for highs and dew points falling into
the 40s by week`s end. Below normal temps are projected
thereafter.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z SATURDAY/...
Issued at 610 PM CDT Fri Aug 29 2025

High pressure will keep conditions quiet for the 00z TAF
package. Shallow fog development, generally MVFR, is expected
again in the usual favored terminals (MVN, CGI, PAH) between
09-13z. Otherwise some FEW-SCT diurnal CU during the afternoon
hours will be the only sky cover of note. Cloud bases will be
generally around 5kft. Light and variable winds overnight will
increase from the NE around 5-8 kts.
