...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR MUHLENBERG COUNTY...

At 905 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in the
area of KY-2270 near Mud River Union Road. Between 1 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Central City, Powderly, Greenville, Weir, Graham, Dunmor,
  Drakesboro, Bremen and South Carrollton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
