...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the following
  counties, Caldwell, Christian, Hopkins, Lyon and Muhlenberg.

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 754 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Madisonville, Princeton, Central City, Dawson Springs,
    Eddyville, Cravens Bay Campground, Land Between The Lakes
    Area, Demumbers Bay Campground, Birmingham Ferry Recreation
    Area, Hillman Ferry Campground, Earlington, Nortonville,
    Mortons Gap, Crofton, Powderly, Olney, Cobb, Farmersville,
    Creswell and Graham.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
