.DISCUSSION...

Wetting rains will persist across the area today, although it
will not be wet for all areas through the day. In fact, the more
widespread, steady rainfall will occur through early afternoon.
Additional rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected across
western Kentucky with lighter amounts expected elsewhere today.
Drier and seasonally cooler air will be incoming thereafter, to
close out the back half of the week. Winds may be a bit gusty out
of the northeast for Wednesday afternoon with gusts approaching
20-25 mph at times.
