Fire Weather Planning Forecast
National Weather Service Paducah KY
231 AM CDT Tue Sep 2 2025

.DISCUSSION...

An isolated shower or storm is possible across west Kentucky this
afternoon. Additional light rain chances are possible across the
entire area Wednesday night into Thursday morning and again later
Friday into Friday night. Chances for wetting rains are low at any
one location though. Deep mixing will be realized today, but weak
northerly transport winds will keep smoke dispersion poor. The
best dispersion day looks to be Wednesday as winds increase out of
the southwest ahead of the frontal passage Wednesday night. Winds
turn northerly again on Thursday. Minimum RH`s of 30-35% are
expected this afternoon before seeing an uptick the next several
days.
