.DISCUSSION...
Hot conditions will continue into the weekend, but the humidity
will begin to decrease a bit each day. Winds will be light today
and Thursday, so smoke dispersion will be poor to fair, despite
relatively deep mixing. By Friday, southwest winds will increase,
and very deep mixing, 7-8kft, over the Mark Twain will lead to
much better smoke dispersion and allow afternoon humidity to drop
to near 40%. Poor dispersion is likely to continue Friday in the
east. Chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase from
Friday through Monday. A cold front Monday night will bring an
end to the extreme heat.
