...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Illinois and western
Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A Flood Watch is effect from late this morning through late tonight.
Slow-moving thunderstorms will produce torrential downpours and the
risk of flash flooding. Thunderstorms that develop today will produce
very high levels of lightning as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Severe thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday, mainly during the
late afternoon and evening hours. Damaging winds, a few tornadoes,
and large hail will be the main severe risk. Heavy rain and isolated
flooding issues are possible as well.

Heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees are forecast this weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter reports of flooding and heavy rainfall measurements would be
appreciated today. Spotter activation may be needed on Wednesday
as well.
