This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Heat Advisory remains in effect for the entire Quad State, as
the prolonged heat wave continues to produce heat indices from
100 to 106. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms once
again this afternoon may provide some relief from the heat.
Torrential rain and lightning can be expected with any storms,
but a few storms may also produce some gusty winds up to 50 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

The Heat Advisory continues for the entire Quad State through
Friday. With each passing day of triple digit heat indices, the
potential for health-related impacts increases. Isolated to
scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will provide some
relief from the heat each day. Brief torrential downpours and
lightning will be the primary concerns with the storms.

Thunderstorm chances will increase over the weekend and early next
week, when a cold front will attempt to pass through the region.
Torrential rainfall and lightning will remain the primary
concerns. In the absence of showers and thunderstorms, heat
indices could continue climb to near 100 over the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated.
