            An EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 110 mph
            struck Winslow, Indiana, on the afternoon of
            August 12, 2026. The tornado began in a
            neighborhood just west of the intersection
            of Highway 61 and Brenton Street. Moving
            southeast, the tornado severely damaged a
            few manufactured homes and outbuildings,
            uprooted or snapped dozens of trees, and
            damaged the roofs, gutters, and fascia of
            several homes in Winslow. At least one
            family was displaced when a large tree fell
            into their home, causing it to become
            inhabitable. The tornado lifted near
            Beardsley Street on the southeast side of
            Winslow. The tornado occurred from 4:09 to
            4:10 PM EDT and had a peak width of 250
            yards.
