...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Pennsylvania and
western Pennsylvania.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   Extreme Heat Warning.

Heat indices are expected to range from 100 to 105 today.

There is a Marginal Risk, or level 1 out of 5, for severe
thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The main hazard is
expected to be damaging wind gusts. In addition, locally heavy
rainfall could result in localized flash flooding mainly during the
afternoon and evening hours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thunderstorms could produce strong wind gusts Thursday and Friday.
In addition, locally heavy rainfall could result in localized flash
flooding, Thursday and Friday.

An active pattern is then expected through early next week with
periodic showers and thunderstorms, and the potential for locally
heavy rainfall at times.
