Past 24 hour precipitation...
Observed rain ranged from 0.10 to 0.50 inches for most of the
region but heavier showers and thunderstorms created localized
swaths between 0.75 and 2.25 inches.  The higher amounts generally
favored far southeast Ohio into the northern West Virginia
panhandle and areas east northeast of Pittsburgh.

Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours...
Basin average rainfall is forecast to range from 0.50 to 1.25
inches with locally high amounts likely with heavier showers
and thunderstorms.

River trends...
The Allegheny River basin is favored to see around 1 foot of rise
near the 18 to 24 hour forecast mark, while the rest of the river
basins see similar rises closer to the 36 to 48 hour mark.
Please note that more rapid rises than forecast may occur due to
locally higher amounts of rainfall from heavy showers and
thunderstorms that are not captured in the forecast.
