Past 24 hour precipitation...
Through 8 AM, a band of heavier rainfall totaling a basin average of
1 to 2 inches extended from Tuscarawas/Guernsey Counties in Ohio, eastward
through Brooke County in West Virginia and to Washington and Westmoreland
Counties in Pennsylvania. Most other areas received 0.50 inch or less.
Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours...
Basin average rainfall is forecast to range from 0.75 to 1.75 inches to
the south of US-422, with some isolated totals of 2 to 3 inches possible.
A total of 0.75 inch or less was forecast to the north of that highway.
River trends...
The Monongahela, Cheat, and Youghiogheny Rivers and their tributaries are
forecast to rise between 1 and 3 feet at most points through the
early week period. The Ohio and Allegheny will show smaller rises or remain
nearly steady.Smaller streams and tributaries could rise more rapidly
beneath localized heavy rain.
