FOR SOUTH CENTRAL FAYETTE AND NORTHEASTERN PRESTON COUNTIES...
At 542 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles southwest
of Farmington, or 15 miles north of Kingwood, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Farmington, Brandonville, Bruceton Mills, Clifton Mills, Hazelton,
Valley Point, Laurel Run and Cranesville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
