The National Weather Service in Pendleton Oregon has issued a

* Dust Advisory for...
  Northeastern Umatilla County in northeastern Oregon...
  Southeastern Benton County in south central Washington...
  Southeastern Walla Walla County in southeastern Washington...

* Until 445 PM PDT.

* At 337 PM PDT, a wall of dust was along a line extending from 6
  miles north of Holdman to near Mission to 16 miles northwest of
  Lehman Hot Springs, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Less than one mile visibility with strong wind in excess
           of 50 mph.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Hazardous travel.

* Interstate 84, Oregon Highway 11, and US 12 may experience brief
  reductions in visibility with initial arrival of strong winds,
  with visibilities slow clear afterwards.

Locations impacted include...
Walla Walla, Pendleton, Meacham, College Place, Milton-Freewater,
Athena, Weston, Adams, Helix, Thorn Hollow, Umapine, Cayuse, Bingham
Springs, Holdman, Rieth, Garrett, Umatilla Reservation, Touchet,
Mission, and Gibbon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.

Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE
STAY ALIVE!
