...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Washington...

  Yakima River at Umtanum affecting Kittitas County.

  Yakima River near Parker affecting Yakima County.

  Yakima River at Horlick affecting Kittitas County.

  Yakima River at Kiona affecting Benton County.

  Naches River near Cliffdell affecting Yakima County.

  Naches River near Naches affecting Yakima County.

For the Yakima River...including Horlick, Umtanum, Parker, Kiona...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Yakima River at Umtanum.

* WHEN...Until Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 36.5 feet, There will be flooding in pastures along
  the river.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:15 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 35.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 33.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 35.0 feet late this
    morning. It will then rise above flood stage this afternoon
    to 37.1 feet late tonight. It will fall below flood stage
    early Friday morning to 32.4 feet Monday afternoon. It will
    then rise to 33.4 feet Wednesday, December 17. It will fall
    to 33.2 feet Wednesday, December 17 then rise again.
  - Flood stage is 35.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    37.1 feet on 11/23/1959.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Yakima River near Parker.

* WHEN...Until late Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, There will be flooding of farmland and
  county roads.  Some homes and farm buildings will be flooded and
  there will be significant riverbank and topsoil erosion.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:30 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 11.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 9.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:30 AM PST Wednesday was 11.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 10.8 feet late this
    afternoon. It will then rise to 12.4 feet late tomorrow
    morning. It will fall below flood stage Friday afternoon to
    7.1 feet Monday afternoon. It will then rise to 8.5 feet
    Wednesday, December 17. It will fall to 8.1 feet Thursday,
    December 18 then rise again.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    12.2 feet on 01/18/2011.

* WHEN...Until early Friday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:30 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 35.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 35.5 feet
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 34.4 feet early this
    morning. It will then rise above flood stage late this
    morning to 37.7 feet late this evening. It will fall below
    flood stage tomorrow evening to 30.9 feet Monday afternoon.
    It will then rise to 32.5 feet late Tuesday evening. It will
    fall to 32.1 feet Wednesday, December 17 then rise again.
  - Flood stage is 36.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    38.1 feet on 11/29/1995.

* WHERE...Yakima River at Kiona.

* WHEN...From late Thursday night to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.5 feet, At this level, there will be moderate
  flooding of farmland, roads and some residential areas...
  especially in the West Richland area.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:30 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 7.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 7.4 feet early this
    morning. It will then rise above flood stage early Friday
    morning to 13.9 feet early Saturday morning. It will fall
    below flood stage early Sunday morning to 8.6 feet late
    Tuesday evening then rise again.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    13.8 feet on 02/01/1965.

  - Bankfull stage is 28.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 30.4 feet early this
    morning. It will then rise above flood stage late this
    afternoon to 31.3 feet tomorrow afternoon. It will fall below
    flood stage early Friday morning to 30.1 feet Monday
    afternoon. It will then rise to 30.8 feet Tuesday afternoon.
    It will fall to 30.4 feet Wednesday, December 17. It will
    then rise above flood stage again Thursday, December 18.
  - Flood stage is 31.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

  Cliffdell downstream to Yakima.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:45 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 18.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:45 AM PST Wednesday was 20.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 19.1 feet late tonight. It
    will then fall below flood stage late Friday morning to 16.2
    feet late Monday morning. It will rise to 17.4 feet Tuesday
    afternoon. It will then fall to 16.7 feet Wednesday, December
    17. It will then rise above flood stage Friday, December 19.
  - Flood stage is 17.8 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    19.0 feet on 11/30/1995.
