Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
248 PM PDT Fri Sep 20 2024

.DISCUSSION...Weak upper level ridging and flow aloft from the
west will keep temperatures warming and conditions dry through the
weekend, but a slight chance (15-30%) of showers are possible
across the Central Washington Cascades Sunday. Breezy winds will
linger until 9 AM tonight, then return on Sunday as a shortwave
quickly passes through the area. Elevated winds of up to 35 mph
will occur across the Kittitas Valley and the Gorge tonight and
Sunday as afternoon humidities continue to improve into the early
part of next week. Excellent overnight recoveries will return
Sunday and persist into the workweek.
